Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV), H1N1 (influenza) virus and most notably Coronavirus Covid -19 (SARS-CoV-2) are conditions that bring airborne transmission of disease to our attention during these critical times. Research indicates that indoor particulate matter (PM): bio-aerosols and virus particle size pollute the human body. It was assumed that these particles are exhaled with exhaled air, but evidence confirms these particles lodge deep within our lungs and get absorbed into the circulatory system leading to systemic effects.

Cleaner Air in the surgical office is our highest priority. We are now operating on the words of Lillian Russell, "Let the clean air blow the cobwebs from your body. Air is medicine." Because of this, we have instituted patented Environmental Purification Technology in our office to manage both infectious and non-infectious airborne particulate.
First, we installed REME HALO by RGF into the air ducts of each one of our six HVAC units. The main advantage with the REME Halo system, is that it does not need the pollutants to travel to the air handler for UV treatment or filtration. This system is proactive and sends ionized, aggressive advanced oxidizers into the room to destroy the pollutants at the source, in the air and on surfaces before they can reach our patients, family or employees.
Second, we have installed Surgical Clean Air technology in our waiting room, consult and treatment rooms. These medical grade air purification systems utilize a multi-stage air purifying technology to work together to clean, purify and re-energize the indoor air. This six (6) stage filtration system works to remove particulate matter from the air - including potentially infective droplet nuclei. This reduction (dilution) or complete elimination of viruses, fungal and bacteria (99.9%) breaks the cycle of airborne disease transmission and reduces patient anxiety.
